Here is how the browser tools handle your camera and microphone, and which third-party scripts load on these pages.
Camera and microphone
Camera access begins only after you press Start camera. Microphone access begins only after you press Start mic test or choose to include audio while recording. Your browser controls these permissions. Live camera and microphone streams are processed in your browser; this site does not upload them.
Photos, clips, and reports
Photos and clips are created locally in your browser. You can preview and download them to your device. The local technical report contains check states and technical video settings, such as resolution and reported frame rate. It contains no image, audio, or device names. The old upload endpoint is disabled.
Analytics and advertising
Yandex Metrika (counter 69901261) and Google AdSense (publisher ca-pub-4054195501527231) load directly when a page opens, including the embedded widget. Our hosting provider may also add a Cloudflare analytics beacon. Metrika counts page views and broad actions such as camera starts, test results, errors, checklist completion, and downloads. These services may receive standard browser data and use cookies or similar technologies under their own policies. Our action events do not contain image or audio data, device names, or report contents.
Embedded widget
The widget runs from my-webcamtest.com inside an iframe. The embedding page must grant camera, microphone, and fullscreen permissions in its iframe settings. Browser permission prompts still apply. The widget makes no media upload.
Other site files
The website retains an ads.txt file for advertising identity. This tool does not require an account or payment.
