Green screen backgrounds
Using a green screen with a webcam? Background appearance does not establish microphone quality. Check speech capture separately before your next call.
A green screen background does not, by itself, establish how clearly your webcam setup captures speech. If your goal is better webcam audio, assess the microphone separately from the background. The supplied material contains no evidence that a green screen improves or worsens speech capture.
Check speech capture in your intended setup
Before a call or recording, check which microphone your application has selected. Do not assume that using the webcam for video means its built-in microphone is also capturing your voice.
Make a short speech recording with your intended background, microphone and application settings. Listen for understandable words, distracting background sound and interruptions. If you want to assess whether changing the background affects the recording, compare samples while keeping the microphone, speaking position and application settings the same.
